GIFFORD HARDY TROPHY WINNERS
Gifford Hardy was a well loved member of NADP, a frequent contributor to NADP’s magazine, Network, and he also founded the Sussex Pen Club, a correspondence circle for the deafened people who lived in the south-east. Every year the Gifford Hardy Trophy is awarded to the best article to appear in Network during the preceding year. The trophy, which is a silver plate, was first awarded in 1993, and was instituted by Gifford’s daughter, Janine Burgess, as she and his widow, Ivy, wished to have him remembered in this way.
